Join our 2017 Organizing Committee!

TEDxToronto 2017 is upon us, and we are growing our team! We are looking for passionate, motivated and idea-driven individuals to join our organizing committee, as we aim to create our best conference to date. As a non-profit, we are all volunteers. contributing our time towards creating something truly inspiring and memorable. The majority of our team members have full-time jobs, so we promise to keep this experience efficient, enjoyable and rewarding.
We are looking to fill the below positions.
Talent Management Director
Core Team Position, 10-15 hours/week
• Collaborate with the Organizing Committee to find the best innovators, leaders, speakers and performers for the 2017 conference
• Manage process and communications for onboarding, coaching and ongoing management of the speakers from selection thru to event
• Support with the coaching process review and planning
• Manage team of volunteers supporting and coaching speakers
Logistics Director
Core Team Position, 10-15 hours/week
• Responsible for all logistical details of the conference including A/V, venue set‐up, food and beverage, permits, furniture rentals, BEOs etc.
• Responsible for all vendor selection, contracts, and vendor communications
• Responsible for logistics budget & planning
• Act as primary liaison with conference venue
• Select & lead a logistics team
• Responsible for conference volunteers & volunteer training
• Manage conference registration
Events Director
Core Team Position, 5-10 hours/week (may increase closer to conference)
• Lead planning & execution of three external events throughout the year, associated with the conference
• Responsible for venue sourcing
• Responsible for vendor selection & management (including F&B, entertainment, security etc.)
• Responsible for event budgets
Graphic Designer
Creative Team, 10 hours/week
• Responsible for website graphics, social media graphics, editorial design (printed conference program), event and stage design, advertisements, promotional material, signage and conference branding
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Ability to design GIFs
• Motion design is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to work remotely under little supervision while balancing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
• Ability to work during work hours is a plus
• Collaborate with Creative Director
