    After receiving a record number of speaker nominations, we are excited to reveal the official lineup of big thinkers and change-makers who will take the stage on October 27, 2016.

    The 12 talks will span across topics such as science, gaming, sexuality, language, entertainment, design and the future of work – leaving you to wonder, share and take action.

    The 2016 TEDxToronto conference, Symbols + Signals, is approaching on October 27th, bringing together the city’s most groundbreaking thinkers, leaders, creators and innovators.

    As Canada’s largest TEDx event, TEDxToronto welcomes over 1,000 delegates to collectively stop, listen, think, share and act, while immersed in a full day that features over 10 influential speakers and captivating performances. The complete lineup of speakers and performers will be released in the following weeks.

    You are now invited to apply to attend as a delegate and valued member of the TEDxToronto 2016 audience.

    How to Apply
    If you are interested in attending TEDxToronto 2016, submit your application on our website by August 22nd, 2016 (11:59pm). All applicants will be notified of their application status by October 1st, 2016.

    If selected to attend TEDxToronto as a delegate, you will be invited to purchase a ticket. The ticket price is $250.00 (+HST), which includes full access to the TEDxToronto 2016 conference, beverages, lunch, snacks, interactive experiences, and entry into the official TEDxToronto After Party.

The oldest and most common forms of communication, of which are still commonly used, are those of symbols and signals. Transcending the barriers of language, symbols and pictograms are visually understood, whereas signals and intuitions are perceived and expressed with an openness for personal interpretation. Symbols drive you to wonder, while signals lead you to wander.
