Each year Americans spend over $100 billion on fast food and Canadians are not too far behind in this growing trend. How do our own food choices affect our health and how food ends up on our plates? And is the organic food movement a better and sustainable way for us to produce and source food?
These are just a few topics that we hope will whet your appetite and get you talking about our second TEDxToronto Salon: Epicurious: How food affects us and how we can affect food.
To whet our mental palate, this Salon will have a surprise gastronomy expert respond to the hot topics of the ‘organic’ food movement, the world of processed and healthy food, and perhaps pass on some intriguing epicurean tips.
The TEDxToronto Salon Series is an interactive event that takes place on the second Tuesday of every month, and provides a space where people can meet to discuss social issues and innovative ideas. Each Salon will include an exciting guest moderator who will lead interactive conversations and challenge your point-of-view.
Seating is limited to 40 participants, and attendance is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please RSVP, through Eventbrite.
