The TEDxToronto 2011 After Party has officially sold out of general admission tickets. If you would still like to attend, a limited number of donation tickets valued at $50 are still available for purchase on our Event Registration Page.
Curious for what’s to come? We promise a night of art, entertainment and conversation – with curated performers, installations and music. The Steam Whistle Brewery will be transformed into a Dark Carnival of the Unexpected. Carrying through the theme of redefinition, we’re inviting you to gather with like-minded TEDxToronto delegates to connect and build on the redefining ideas shared throughout the day’s conference. The performances are set to be a mesmerizing display of culture and performance art.
Our Talented performers:
DJ Damn Aykroyd: A music maker extraordinaire, his tastes are diverse in genre and energy; cornerstones are 70’s funk, instrumental and conscious hip-hop, and various electronic bands.
The 194 Group Inc: A music agency of award-winning DJs, producers, musicians, taste-makers, and market professionals, featuring DJ Wristpect x Sir Lancelot x JB All
Spring Free Trampoline: Defy gravity on a trampoline with no springs. How is that possible? It’s no magic trick. Come for a jump.
Aveda Institute: Let the Aveda Institute pamper, refresh, and re-style you with hand massages, make-up and hair touch-ups – they’ll get you party ready!
The Heart Machine: A collaborative project by interactive arts (i.a.) that combines sculptural structures, flame effects and technology to create compelling interactive art.
The Spontaneous Prose Store: Give K.H. Glick a topic, title, or first line and she will create an on-the-spot poem for you. They’ve appeared previously in Forum and 16th & Mission Review.
Take a Picture: To the naked eye, you’ll only be able to see these paintings as blank canvas, with nothing on it. The only way to experience the artwork is to photograph it.
Dr. Kiwano’s Geodesic Deathtraps: The art piece is a large icosahedral steel frame made of struts and rope that can be manipulated by participants enjoying it (intended to be climbed, rolled, etc.).
IlluminAir Entertainment: A team of professional multi-disciplinary performing artists who have been featured on local and international stages.
John Kameel Farah: Named by NOW Magazine as Best Pianist 2006 for his unique fusion of Baroque counterpoint, improvisation, Arabic music and Electronica.

A very special thanks to Steam Whistle Brewery for sponsoring the after party venue and Pandor Productions, our audio visual production sponsor – we could not have done it without you. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
