The 2017 TEDxToronto conference will take place on October 27, 2017 at Evergreen Brick Works.
TICKET AND IDENTIFICATION
If you have purchased a ticket, please remember that you must show your digital ticket and government-issued photo ID to enter the conference. If you do not have these two items for registration, you will not be admitted into the event. There will be designated registration areas for speakers, partners, sponsors, donors, media, and delegates.
Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning. Please pick up your name badge and enjoy coffee and tea compliments of Tim Hortons and light breakfast snacks. The conference will begin promptly at 9:50 a.m. Subsequent entry or re-entry will only be permitted between speaker talks or during breaks.
CONFERENCE SCHEDULE + PROGRAM
The conference schedule can be viewed online. The program, with speaker biographies and other TEDxToronto information will be at your seat upon arrival.
HOW TO GET THERE
Evergreen Brick Works is located at 550 Bayview Ave #300. Paid parking will be available on-site at Evergreen Brick Works. Space is limited so we encourage you to come early if you plan to drive. The free Evergreen Brick Works shuttle bus departs every 30-45 minutes from the parkette on Erindale Avenue, east of Broadview Avenue (just north of Broadview subway station), starting at 7:15 a.m. We recommend taking (or sharing) a taxi or Uber. Keep in mind the After Party will begin immediately after the conference ends, so do not plan to drive if you will be consuming alcohol.
FOOD AND DRINK
A selection of snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day, along with a complimentary boxed lunch at 12 p.m. Join us immediately after the conference for cocktail hour in the Ace Hill Beer Garden, followed by the Official After Party, as we continue to celebrate ideas worth spreading.
CAMERAS, PHONES + LAPTOPS
Cell phones must be off or on silent during the talks and performances and no recording devices or flash photography will be permitted. We encourage you to join the conversation on social media using #TEDxToronto, but please only post during the breaks. If you are from the media and wish to live blog & post, please choose a seat in the back rows in order not to distract other delegates. Wi-fi will be available at the event. Choose the network, TEDxToronto and use the password, legacy.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear what makes you feel comfortable and expresses your personality! Evergreen Brick Works has recently gone through an amazing transformation, but breezes can sometimes be felt throughout the venue. We recommend that you dress warmly, and take advantage of our complimentary coat check if needed.
Your TEDxToronto swag bag can be picked up when you leave the conference. Whether you choose to depart after the conference or the Official After Party, use the ticket provided during registration to claim your bag.
COCKTAIL HOUR + OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY
We hope that you are able to join us for cocktails & canapés in the Ace Hill Beer Garden following the conference, as well as the Official After Party, featuring incredible entertainment and more food & drink! Everything will take place in the same venue. Your delegate badge is your ticket to the cocktail hour & After Party.

The venue is fully accessible and we will be able to provide priority seating. Please let us know at registration if you require priority seating.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout the day you will be meeting others within the TEDxToronto community who are there for the same reason, to be inspired. Come with an open mind and a willingness to engage in conversation. Use your conference program to take notes so that you can reflect on them later. Connect with other delegates prior to the conference on the TEDxToronto 2017 Facebook event page.
